I was out tooling around on a little boat on Monday and I ran into this...

A real freaking pirate ship!! Aaargh!
So I have officially decided, that come hell or high water I am going to make my life better. I have done everything in my powers to try and run all the negativity out of my life, and I think I have finally accomplished it. My friends are the best, I can't wait to get traveling, this summer is going to be...The Summer of Natanis!!
Natanis, +1
Negativity, -1
Saturday I went out fishing in a 45 ft Viking. Every time I have been fishing the only thing we ever caught was a buzz, but this time was different we caught a freaking 9 ft Hammerhead Shark (300 lbs) about 1 mile off the shores of Boca Raton. Talk about exhilaration, it took about an hour and a half to get the bastard on the boat. Fun Fun, Here are some pics.

1 1/2 hours of fighting!

We almost had him in the boat here.

3 Men a Gaff and Lines to get him in the boat.

Creepy looking huh?

On the dock, the guy who caught him had it mounted for a mere $3000!

On lookers watch in amazement!
Soooo, I wasn't at work yesterday because I spent the day having my car towed to the garage by AAA, which lemme tell ya took forever. A monsoon decided to come our way so while I was dropping off my car at a shop that wasn't freaking open I got soaked and a bit of the sniffles. I am not going to complain about the rain since we haven't had any in so long and I know all you Northerners' are just plain sick of the rain already. Joe, I hope your brook is still a brook and not a ravine.
Saturday night I was out with a couple of my guy friends, and my crazy ex Andy went god damn psychotic. He came to the bar I was at and saw me with two guys, and lost his shit. He went outside and busted my headlights and taillights out of my freaking car. At this point I had ventured on to another bar with my friends so I had no idea what was going on. My friend Shannon (the bartender) called me and said "Andy went nuts on your car, and beat up some dude in the bar" WTF??? So I avoided him and left my car there because it was night and obviously I could not drive it. I went home to my friend Julies house and went in the morning to get my car. Well to my surprise I find out Andy came back at 5 in the morning and slashed 3 of my tires. Since this is a bar I hang out at alot the bouncer had been watching for him. JP (the bouncer) caught him slashing my tires and proceeded to beat the ever living shit out of him until the cops showed up, (yeah JP!!) Andy got arrested and since he had a warrant out for his arrest (failure to appear in court for a possession of cocaine charge) he went straight to jail.
I found out yesterday when I went to put a restraining order against him that he was in fact arrested for possession of cocaine again. He isn't getting out for awhile, I hope. They denied my restraining order saying he had to do physical harm to me, yes you read that right, I have to wait until he beats the shit out of me before I can get a restraining order against him, What??? Are you kidding me? Here are the pics of my car....

Okay guys this is going to be a major rant, so be for warned:
My best friend Casey who you all know lost her husband no to long back is trying to move from Denver to Breckenridge this weekend. Her only "real friend" out in Colorado, who she has known for 6 years (Marj moved to Colorado with Casey and Chris) is refusing to help her. Casey called me this morning in tears, she is having a real hard time with mother's day coming up and everything. She doesn't need to be alone while packing all of her and Chris' stuff. Never mind the fact that she has a one year old who every time she puts something in a box he pulls it out.
I called her two weeks ago and asked her if she needed my help, and let her know that I was more than willing to go out there and help her out. She told me she wasn't going to need my help because Marjorie and Mike would be there to help out, well guess what Marj & Mikey aren't there to help her. Really not a big surprise to me. She has no one there to help her with Chase and she is all alone.
Wouldn't you think they would be there for her, Marj begged her to come back saying "we miss you, we aren't going to let you go through this alone, we will help you organize things and get the move done." now where is she, she is laid up drunker than a skunk at the bar as Casey sits there alone crying, it's a damn shame!!
I wish I was there....
Well I just gave my boss my vacation schedule for this summer, I am not quite sure that he is happy about it, but I could care less.
Manchester, Tennesee (Bonnaroo) June 15-19th
Denver, Colorado (Casey's Birthday) June 29-July 2nd
Boothbay Harbor, Maine (Home) July 13-23
This year I am taking my friends Julie and Heather with me, we will fly into Boston stay over night in Southy with a few of Julie's friends and than on the 14th take a train to Maine. I love taking trains, it sure beats the hell out of Greyhound. The train that goes from Boston to Portland is called the Downeaster, it takes you about 2 and a half hours, but the scenery you see on the trip is well worth the ride.
That's Julie, Heather and I
Do you have any plans to travel this summer?
I have been listening to the Blue Angels all day practice over head, now I am going to the beach for Cinco, Have a great weekend everyone and be safe....
These aren't great pictures, but you get the point.

You have to start with the King!

Hernando, Mississippi

Jerry Lee Lewis' Ranch

So don't go hurting yourself!

Jerrys' Dogs

Beale Street Memphis

Silky O' Sullivan's--They had goats walking around the bar!

Twister:
When Milton Bradley hesitantly released the game in 1966 (invented by Neil W. Rabens and Charles F. Foley), the company had no small amount of skepticism for its potential, as well as to-be-expected fear of public criticism. Detractors denounced the game as "sex in a box." These fears were dispelled when Johnny Carson featured the game on the May 3, 1966 episode of The Tonight Show. One of Johnny's guests was Eva Gabor in a low-cut dress. With Eva on her hands and knees and Johnny on top, the audience reaction was perfect—hysterical laughter and screams of delight. In its first year, Milton Bradley sold more than three million copies of Twister.
On my way to work this morning I realized that it was May 2nd. Just as I realized that, there it was a Best Buy. Today is the day the new Tool & Pearl Jam Albums come out. I whipped my little Subaru into the parking lot, ran inside and got myself both albums for a mere $21.10 including tax. I had no idea that new releases from Tuesday to Saturday were $9.99 a piece.
I am listening to 10,000 days first and than onto Pearl Jam. 10,000 days is pretty much rocking hardcore so far, another great album, ahhh it seems like I have been waiting forever for new Tool. Oh wait, I have. The graphics inside both are well worth buying the albums vs. downloading them.
Well I had the most awesome weekend. Friday night I decided I was going to go balls to the wall so I could move the whole rest of the weekend. Surely enough that is what I did. Heather got out of work at 7 and we went to the Treasure Trove, we go there every Friday and Sat night. Mosied on up to the bar and ordered ourselves two Miller Lights and two shots of Stoli O. Well that is a hint of how this night was going to go. Whew wee, we got annihilated. Shot after shot, beer after beer, Heather and I were on the bar, (that is the only place we sit) dancing around, people watching from above and my phone was off, just didn't feel like dealing with anyone. I turned on my phone and low and behold it is freaking Chy on my voice mail, I hadn't seen or heard a hide nor hair of her in a week. It was so good to talk to her, we were partying simultaneously on opposite coasts. She sounded good and like she was having a fantastic time.
I decided I was going to go to Blondies, which is just a few blocks away. I hadn't been there for a few weeks because I was trying to save money for the move so off I went, ran into a good "friend" of mine Matt. He is quite the looker, ahh actually I'm going to go with hot. It was his 24th birthday, we played a couple games of pool together and did a few more shots. I was supposed to go over his house later, but somehow that didn't happen. Hmm maybe next time. It was nearing 4 am and my friend Julie got out of work and showed up at Blondies with Heather, by this time the Trove was closed. Stayed up till freaking 8 am when the guy with the furniture started calling, holy shit it was time for me to move. We did that semi-successfully, actually no one got hurt so I would say highly successful. There is no place like home. Pics coming I can't find the USB cord.
This is Matt:

I finally got an apartment, woo hoo! 1/1 for $750 a month. No pool but oh well, it's a place! You can't imagine the weight that has been lifted off my shoulders. No more frat house for me, although I am extremely grateful for Scott & Zach to let me stay at their place for the last month. Man it feels like eternity since I have had my own place. I mean seriously, I left for Chris' funeral on the 21st of March, it is now the 28th of April.
I got a great deal on some furniture. This guy just moved down here from Hilton Head 6 months ago and bought a bunch of furniture, well he is moving back to Hilton Head and giving me all the furniture for a mere 225 bucks!! Freaking sweet deal! A bed, couch, love seat, tables and lamps all for $225, ahh I am so excited things are looking up!!!!
Ness, I will need some wall art, so as soon as I get my next paycheck I will be making some purchases.
On a side note I look like I have leprosy or some awful skin disease because my face is peeling now from the sunburn, yuck. I guess I won't be getting any dates tonight!
Let me start off by saying in NO way what so ever am I bitching about the weather, this is purely an informational blog!!
Ok so I woke up this morning at about 5:30 in the morning, sweating and really thirsty, as I open my eyes I hear the weather report coming across the television. "The temperature in Ft. Lauderdale is reading a steamy 78 degrees". Wait a minute I thought to myself, WHAT?!?! It is freaking 5:30 in the morning. Jackie Johnson went on to say it was gong to be a high of 88 degrees today and about 70% humidity. Lordy, lordy it isn't even May yet. Summer is coming on strong down here, soon enough all the snowbirds will be gone and it will be just the locals again.
The Air & Sea show marks the end of the season and it starts May 5th. Fleet Week starts Monday, you know what that means girls? Sailors all over town, yippee!! All kinds of eye candy. Sailors are not meant to be touched though, and neither are the pilots who perform in the Air & Sea Show. (One year my friend met Band Aid Boy, I'll let your imagination run with that one!)
On to the next big news of the day; our beloved (cough cough) Ricky Williams has lost his appeal. Apparently he failed his 4th drug test, and this time it wasn't even for marijuana, Ricky has moved up in the world, he tested positive for amphetamines! (which is what the local news said, but haven't seen that on the internet) Woo hoo, go Ricky!! The only good news is, this happened before this weekends NFL Draft, and possibly the Dolphins can pick up a decent running back! So another season without Ricky Williams, I say let the guy go and stop embarrassing the organization. See ya in 2007, hopefully on another team!
Well yesterday was a drunken debauchery as I figured it would be. Ahh Bar Wars, nothing like a bunch of service industry workers, getting hammered and throwing horseshoes and guzzling free beer. A giant Bud Light truck pulled up and the beer started flowing. They were serving one of their new products, Ultra Amber, must say it was not too bad. Ultra usually gives me heartburn, but than again what doesn't? I stuck to the Bud Lights, much to my dismay.
The events started at noon and went until 5pm. Lord was I a drunkard. Only two fights broke out, strange thing is that the people fighting all worked together. Now there is some camaraderie. I broke up both fights because they started right next to me. The first one was just a few seconds, a few blows basically a couple of drunk amateurs throwing themselves at each other. Second fight broke out same bar, this time there were two kids ages 5 & 6 (I would assume) watching the whole thing. I made sure that the fight was over before it even got started. I was discussing with my friends that an event like that was no place for kids to be hanging out. It is 5 hours of bartenders and severs getting shitty. Not a very kid friendly environment.
I applied multiple layers of sun screen and still managed to get burned. I guess that is the Irish in me! We got home at like 7, after a trip to the Treasure Trove for a few more beers. I picked up a 12 pack of Miller Lite cans, strange I tell ya. The packaging was like a 12 pack of bottles, I knew they were cans, but when I opened up the box I was like whoa, they were tall boys, hmmm never seen that before?
I am going to a cookout at 5:30 tonight, steaks on the Bar B, sweet. I love BBQ's! Tomorrow I have a lunch gathering at 1:30 at Bennigan's, I went there with Heather and April last week and dropped my card in the little fishbowl and won free lunch for 15 people. Woot, maybe my luck is changing, too bad I didn't win the 84 MM lotto! Bummer, maybe next time.
Well I really don't have much planned for this evening. Probably going to get a bottle of Captain and have a few cocktails.
Saturday I am going to go apartment hunting again, see if I can't find some sort of a decent and by decent I mean cheap place. I am thinking about stopping by the belly dancing expo this weekend, that should be fun. My ex step mother used to be a belly dancer. Hopefully I can spy some dancers in action there, I would think so atleast!
Sunday, ah yes Sunday Funday...Sunday is Bar wars, technically I do not work In the Biz anymore, but the place I used to work at and frequent, (at least 5 times a week),The Bahia Cabana has always let me represent them in all of the ITB events. (Scavenger Hunt, Barwars, etc) Barwars is sooo much fun, we compete with the other local bars in events such as, Tug of War, Volleyball, Egg Toss, Horseshoes and the ever so popular foot race. I say that because they save that event for last and everyone is so wasted (keep in mind these are servers and bartenders) by that time that it is quite comical. Every member of the team gets a bracelet and you get to drink for free all day.
Anywhoo I will be sun burnt and hungover on Monday, so y'all have a great weekend and we'll catch up on Monday.
