Stuff about MS and TN and Stuff

Back to the ole grind today and there is nothing going on..the phones aren't ringing, both of my boss aren't here.  Pretty freaking boring I must say.

My trip to TN and MS was good.  I went out on Beale Street Wed night, got pretty tanked.  My friends that I was visiting in Memphis own a locksmith company so I rode around with Eric all day unlocking cars, changing out locks and so on and so forth.  I learned some valuable lessons if I ever wanted to start a career in stealing cars.  We went and had some BBQ from this little place called the Pig in Memphis on Thursday night, probably the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had!

Friday mosied on down to Greenville where I was to meet up with Casey.  I had a pretty good buzz come the time I met up with her.  She kept saying "Natanis do NOT go the Carders wasted!"  I think she knew had a pretty good idea that I was buzzed even with my efforts at trying to hide it.  Met up with her at the Carders and she dropped off the baby (now 17 months) and we went out to dinner with my friends Geni and Dab.  It was delicious, crab stuffed catfish to die for!  After that we met up with Larry Gene (Chris' brother) and his girlfriend Frankie, went down to this bar called the One Block East.  It was ghetto fabulous out front.  Big ole black woman traipsing around in gold short shorts and black halter tops...yummy!

Blues Fest on Saturday afternoon, I ended up partying all night with Larry Gene so we didn't wake up until late.  Casey wouldn't go in because she was scared of the Ninjas (black people), she couldn't see one white person so she was not down for the fest.  I decided fuck that it's not like they are going to be wielding knives at each other and hell Greenville, MS is 70% black so what did anyone expect? I enjoyed myself the music was good every body was really nice.  Saturday night I chilled knowing I had to go to the Carders for Chris' birthday fish fry.

I spent a couple of hours at the fish fry with the Carders, we gave Chase a mohawk it was is so cute and than I headed down to the cemetary to visit with Chris. Oh the things I wondered while I was sitting there.  I just remember it being very dark and stagnant and the air was just still.  I started to cry a bit realizing that it has been 6 months now and how much Chase is growing up it really made me just sad and than all of a sudden the wind starts blowing and it got really bright out and I smiled knowing that Chris was there, it is amazing how in just one moment you can just feel so much better.  I am not the most spiritual person but I know he was there.

This is Chase and his new mohawk...tell me this is not one cute kid!

Cappy, Chase is absolutely adorable.  Afraid of the ninjas, terrible.  She should have pulled up her skirts and enjoyed herself.  I'm glad you got to see Casey though.

I have recently found out that alcohol weakens my defenses against babies. I stand firm about not having any more kids. So much so that usually I prefer to have nothing to do with little babies, diapers, 4 a.m. feedings and snotty noses. I had mine and I am done. However, the other night I was visiting a friends house "after hours" and the baby woke up. Well this baby was hell bent on waking up and checking out the scene. As soon as the baby entered the room my defenses were down. I was all over that baby like a fat kid on a cupcake. My impression of my softer side: ...oh, I forgot how small and squeezable they are, and that baby smell..Awe, it's been so long! followed by a lot of unrecognizable babytalk.

Sounds like a great trip, Natanis.  What a cutie, lol@mohawk, priceless.   Okay you guys, stop talking about kids, you're gonna make me want to pop one out before I get too old, heheh.
