Steamy South Florida
Let me start off by saying in NO way what so ever am I bitching about the weather, this is purely an informational blog!!
Ok so I woke up this morning at about 5:30 in the morning, sweating and really thirsty, as I open my eyes I hear the weather report coming across the television. "The temperature in Ft. Lauderdale is reading a steamy 78 degrees". Wait a minute I thought to myself, WHAT?!?! It is freaking 5:30 in the morning. Jackie Johnson went on to say it was gong to be a high of 88 degrees today and about 70% humidity. Lordy, lordy it isn't even May yet. Summer is coming on strong down here, soon enough all the snowbirds will be gone and it will be just the locals again.
The Air & Sea show marks the end of the season and it starts May 5th. Fleet Week starts Monday, you know what that means girls? Sailors all over town, yippee!! All kinds of eye candy. Sailors are not meant to be touched though, and neither are the pilots who perform in the Air & Sea Show. (One year my friend met Band Aid Boy, I'll let your imagination run with that one!)
On to the next big news of the day; our beloved (cough cough) Ricky Williams has lost his appeal. Apparently he failed his 4th drug test, and this time it wasn't even for marijuana, Ricky has moved up in the world, he tested positive for amphetamines! (which is what the local news said, but haven't seen that on the internet) Woo hoo, go Ricky!! The only good news is, this happened before this weekends NFL Draft, and possibly the Dolphins can pick up a decent running back! So another season without Ricky Williams, I say let the guy go and stop embarrassing the organization. See ya in 2007, hopefully on another team!

My brother and sister are going down for the Air show. I was invited but respectfully declined because I already made plans to go down in a few weeks. My brother went last year and got some awesome pictures. |

Hey if the man likes to smoke bud and play football he should be able to.... He's not hurting anyone. It probably makes him a better football player but what can you do. It obviously means more to him then football. Knowing Ricky he probably did it on purpose to get out of his contract. All Ricky did was make a few extra million last year so now he can sit around his big ass Miami house and smoke bud all day….Sounds like a good time to me. Go Big Blue. |

You know I am down with anyone smoking whatever they want, people do have the right to make their own decisions. Although when you sign into a contract to play football and you continually fuck up why would the Dolphins take him back? Get rid of him, get whatever you can for him and move on. I am more upset with the organiztion than Ricky. By the way Ricky does have to hand over that hefty 8.6 MM though! |

Yeah that is one of the things I am looking for in an apartment, a pool is a necessity during the summer months! I don't really go in the ocean much anymore, not crazy about all the fish and stuff touching me! |

Good ol' ricky the crackhead does it again! Well, you guys are definitely better off anyway. Did you also know, that the fan support or the Florida Marlins is going down, down, down, down, down......into the pits of hell? Yeah, I read somewhere in Yahoo Sports that there is a possible chance of the organization moving somewhere where the money is better and the fan base is stable.

Yeah, well the big fire sale this summer definitely did not help. I will admit it, I was a season ticket holder last year, and this year I am not. The fans here only want to watch baseball until the All Star Break, if that long. Since opening day I have went to 4 games out of the 6 that have been at home. So I always will support the Marlins if they are here! When you get into the summer months it is too hot to bring youngsters to the field, and baseball is about the kids. Children can not be out in that South Florida heat for that long. If it is 88 degrees and 70% humidity now, just think of what it is like in August. |

I went back to bed and woke up at 7:30 to the sun shining on my face, I am the only person I know who can get a tan in bed in the morning (no shades). People always ask if I have been in the sun and I always reply with "No the sun shines in the room every morning to give me the essence of tan!" |
