Indoor Soccer League
I got myself a hobby!! Woot! I am so excited. My first practice is tonight, from 7-9 pm. I haven't played soccer since...wow it has been 8 years since I have been on a team. Soccer used to be my life. I played soccer all through out grade school, high school, and than I played on the San Francisco women's team, at Golden Gate Park.
The fact that I smoke a pack and a half of cigs a day worries me, I told a few friends if they don't see me on here tomorrow, I may be in the hospital with a collapsed lung. I am excited to get back into sports, it has been so long. I used to ride my bike everyday, I used to run, I don't do any of that anymore. I am the epitome of laziness, but not any more. It is my new goal to do more constructive things with my life.
I will let you all know tomorrow how the first day went, I hope it goes well. The first few weeks should be rough but than it should be a breeze. Practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays and a game on every Saturday!

Natanis, I'm glad you have a hobby, other than drinking and mentally undressing men, well you physically have to undress them to because this one time a guy I know, Joe, drunken-dialed you, and you were, nevermind. No point in that story. you know, I do constructive things with my life in hopes that it will some day lead to a life of utter laziness. We may be backwards. i'll have to let you know how my way works, so far, not so good. Run fast, kick hard, flip people off! |

I think I am going to go to a field and see if I can still do all the flips and stuff that I used to be able to do, maybe I will wait a little while to get conditioned first before I go Pele' on their ass! I wouldn't want to break my neck on the first week, than it would be wheel chair races for me!

heh. i used to be in an indoor floor hockey league. Sooo cool. Although when we lost the championship, our goalie sat in the shower, crying, listening to Aerosmith's "Don't wanna close my eyes."

Wait? What the hell did I do?? uhhh...anyways...congrats on the hobby, hobbies rule. We play soccer in Kung Fu sometimes as a warm up, and man, do I suck ass. |

My buddy Silberman is in an indoor soccer league and I'm really pissed about it. They play their games on Sunday around 5:00 or so and Sunday afternoon is when we play baseball. Unfortunately, a lot of the guys on Silber's team also play soccer with him. Its not so bad though because the 9th inning should be finished up before then, but this means that we won't be able to play 'extended games'.  |

Well the first night of soccer went well. I am not in as bad of shape as I thought. We just did a lot of running, passing drills, and worked on a lot of skills related to playing indoor vs. outdoor. Most of which I did alright on for the fear of looking like a total moron. Some of these people haven't ever played soccer, so there I am yelling "cross, cross" and they have no idea what the hell I am talking about. It was a little frustrating but hopefully we can help each other learn. Joe, sweetheart you did nothing but make me smile! Randy, that is hilarious he sat and cried to an Aerosmith song, go figure! |
